Career Relevant Learning

There are many opportunities for graduates in chemistry, whether pursuing higher education or entering the workforce.

Students can pursue a career in a variety of areas including:

  • Chemical industry (synthesis of chemical products, nanomaterials, polymers, membranes)
  • Drug discovery and medical research
  • Pharmaceutical monitoring and regulation
  • Pharmaceutics and pharmacodynamics
  • Toxicology
  • Marketing
  • Consulting
  • Post-degree studies (Law School, Medical School, Pharmacy, Dentistry)
  • Elementary or secondary school teaching (through Concurrent Education)
Students can choose to further their studies through a Master of Science program in either Materials Science or Applied Bioscience – both offered at Ontario Tech.
