Background
Cristiano Politowski serves as an Assistant Professor at Ontario Tech University, within the Faculty of Science's Department of Computer Science. Prior to this role, he held a Postdoctoral Researcher position under the guidance of Professor Houari Sahraoui and Professor Michalis Famelis at Université de Montréal, Montréal, Canada. Additionally, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher with Professor Ghizlane El-Boussaidi at École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Montréal, Canada. Dr. Politowski earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Concordia University, Montréal, Canada, where he was supervised by Professor Yann-Gaël Guéhéneuc and co-supervised by Professor Fabio Petrillo.
He is particularly interested in applying software engineering to video game development. His specific areas of focus include Software Testing, Artificial Intelligence for Software Engineering (AI4SE), Deep Reinforcement Learning, and Empirical Software Engineering.
