Residency requirement

In order to maintain a high level of interaction with peers and faculty, graduate students are expected to spend most of their time on Ontario Tech University’s campus.

For Master of Science students, the minimum residency requirement is 12 months and for PhD students, the minimum residency requirement is 24 months. It is expected that the residency requirement will be met with one period of continuous study, but in special cases, and with the approval of the graduate committee, the residency requirement can be divided into two periods.
